Craig Perkinton joins Leeds NSSP as a Choral Director.

After studying a Music undergraduate and Theology postgraduate from University of York and York St John respectively, he trained as a primary school teacher receiving a Primary PGCE form York St John. After working as a classroom teacher in UK, he went on to teach music internationally.

Craig has always been involved with music. Having grown up in the church, he has been singing in choirs since the age of 4 and has also gone on to MD several choirs, both children and adults, as well as performing as a pianist and organist in both sacred and secular settings. He has also had the privilege of arranging and composing several works for choirs and organists in U.K. and abroad.

While working abroad, Craig was able to provide a diverse range of performance opportunities including community events, music festivals, piano competitions and musical productions. He very much enjoyed introducing children to a wide range of musical styles and genres.

Now coming back full circle to Yorkshire, Craig is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experience to ensure that any and all children are given a world class music education as well as performance opportunities.
