Huddersfield Boys’, Girls’ and Youth Choirs have around 60 members aged 8-18 who rehearse weekly during term time. The choirs sing for Masses at St. Patrick’s Church, Huddersfield and regularly perform in local concerts and competitions, placing in the prestigious Mrs. Sunderland festival in Huddersfield Town Hall three years in a row. The Choirs have sung for Vespers at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, Masses at Nottingham and Norwich Cathedrals and toured to London, singing at the Temple Church and Westminster Cathedral.

Huddersfield Youth Choir was founded in 2014 and combines older members of the Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs to create an SATB choir. They are delighted to be touring to London in 2020 and look forward to returning to Westminster Cathedral. The choirs have broadcast on Radio 2’s Sunday Half-Hour, Radio 4’s Daily Service and BBC One’s Songs of Praise. Most recently the combined choirs broadcast BBC Radio 4’s Sunday Worship in July 2019.

Members of our after school choirs are drawn from Schools Singing Programme sessions within local schools. If our team of Choral Directors do not visit your child’s school but they are interested in joining one of our choirs, please contact us at office@dioceseofleedsmusic.org.uk or 0113 244 8634 to arrange an audition.
