We are delighted to welcome Joseph Tilling to the Diocese of Leeds as a Choral Director.
Joseph Tilling graduated from Leeds Conservatoire in 2023 with a first class honours degree in music, where he focused on vocal performance and conducting.
Joseph’s passion for choral music started at the age of eight when he joined his local church choir. During his gap year, he held a Choral Scholarship at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and sung with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir and Chamber Choir.
Joseph has recently discovered his passion for choral direction. Alongside his studies at the conservatoire, Joseph directed the University of Leeds Chamber Choir, and regularly directed services at Leeds Minster where he was a Choral Scholar. He has also worked with the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain as a Conducting Scholar. Joseph is delighted to be working working for the Diocese of Leeds as a choral director, and looks forward to inspiring children from all backgrounds to make music.
