Diocese of Leeds Music is seeking two leaders of children’s voices to work in our Schools Singing Programme. This programme, recognised by a prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society award, works with over 6,000 children weekly in schools across West and North Yorkshire. Our 19 after-school choirs provide outstanding choral opportunities for young people, including BBC broadcasts, tours and recordings, with high-quality organ, piano and classical accordion tuition available for all choristers and school pupils across the Diocese.
The two roles we have available are an Assistant Director of the Schools Singing Programme, who will be responsible for choral delivery at one of the first state-funded choir schools in the UK, and a Choral Director, who will provide sessions in our Schools Singing Programme, create new after-school choirs and work with our existing after-school groups.
