December 24th, 2017 - News from the Leeds Trinity Cathedral Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs
News from the Leeds Trinity Cathedral Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs

The Leeds Trinity Cathedral Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs had a busy second half of the term. They sang three times at Leeds Trinity University: for the All Saints’ Day Mass celebrated by Bishop Marcus, at the ‘Peace Jam’ conference featuring the Nobel Laureate, and at LTU’s Christmas carol service. In addition, they sang at the Cathedral carol service, at the 4pm and 6pm Vigil Masses on Christmas Eve, and they were featured as part of the Midnight Mass broadcast from the Cathedral on BBC1. Plans for 2018 include a trip to Middlesbrough Cathedral, another radio broadcast on BBC Radio 4’s Daily Service, and many more Masses and other events at Leeds Trinity University and at the Cathedral.

Cathedral Choral Director, Lucy Haigh, said “These children work extremely hard and are very committed. I’m delighted with their progress and the opportunities they have had to showcase their talents to the wider Catholic community”.
