January 1st, 2015 - Spring Programme Announced
Spring Programme Announced

The Winter term concluded with two live BBC broadcasts. The cathedral choirs sang Choral Vespers on Radio 3 and the Bradford Catholic Youth Choir sang Morning Worship on Radio 4. Three traditional services of lessons and carols took place at the Cathedral, St Patrick's Huddersfield and St Anne's Keighley which drew large congregations. The new Leeds Childrens Choir also gave their first concert in Wheeler Hall. Concerts took place of Britten's War Requiem and Paco Pena's Requiem for the Earth. Most important of all, Bishop Marcus was installed as the new Bishop of Leeds with most of the Diocesan choirs contributring to the various special liturgies.

During 2015 the choirs will be recording a new CD on the Herald AV label to support the charity 'Aid to the Church in Need.' Concerts include Carmina Burana at Leeds Town Hall and a joint concert with the school at Ampleforth Abbey. The Bradford Catholic Youth Choir will also be making two BBC Radio broadcasts.
