The Diocese of Leeds has the largest church programme of choral music for young people in the United Kingdom.
Our Choral Directors work with some 3500 children weekly (over 100 groups across 53 schools), returning to their bases to run our elite choirs; 6 boys’ choirs, 6 girls’ choirs, 5 mixed children’s choirs, 2 youth choirs, 3 university choirs and an adult choir, all drawing their membership from our school sessions. more »

The Leeds Trinity Cathedral Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs were established in September 2016 in partnership between Leeds Trinity University and Leeds Cathedral. The combined choirs consist of up to 50 children aged between 7 and 11 who have been recruited from the Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme and from our previous Cathedral Junior Choirs. The children are drawn from 13 state primary schools in Leeds and its environs, including areas of social deprivation. Since the project began in September 2016, the choirs have already broadcast on BBC Radio 4’s Sunday Worship and on the Made in Leeds television channel.
Please contact the Music Department Coordinator if you would like your child to audition.
