In addition to the Cathedral Choirs in Leeds, outreach work will be carried out from September 2010 in primary schools across the city and its neighbouring areas. This programme will be led by a new Choral Director for the Leeds area. The work is funded through a consortium of local schools.
There are also advanced plans to launch a Cathedral Choir School, based at the current Holy Rosary and St Anne's School in Chapeltown. This project is led by Choral Director Sally Egan.
Additionally, Diocesan Choral Directors run a boys' choir for pupils at St John Fisher High School, the Catholic Arts College in Harrogate.
