In addition to the Cathedral Choirs in Leeds, outreach work is carried out in primary schools across the city and its neighbouring areas. This programme is led by Choral Director Sally Egan, in accordance with the aims of Music Manifesto's National Singing Programme "Sing Up." The work is funded through a grant from the Department for Schools, Children and Families.
In the Diocese of Leeds, outreach is delivered in two strands: singing classes supported by cathedral choristers visiting primary schools, and through the new Leeds Children's Choir.
