July 1st, 2010 - University Choral Scholarships

Applications are now invited for Choral Scholarships from students at Leeds and Huddersfield Universities and Leeds College of Music. Excellent sight reading skills and some experience of choral singing are essential for those considering making an application.

Scholarships run from late September to mid June, with auditions at the Cathedral. For prospective university students this can sometimes be arranged to coincide with open days. It is advisable to seek auditions early in the year if possible. Auditions for any remaining choral scholarships will be held on arrival for appropriately qualified candidates wishing to apply.

May 16th,2010- New Organ for the Cathedral

The new organ of Leeds Cathedral will be blessed by Bishop Roche at 3.00pm on 16th May 2010 at Pontifical Vespers.
