In 2010 a new auditioned girls' choir in Huddersfield was founded. The Huddersfield Girls' Choir now has 35 girls from 9 schools.
It sings Mass at St. Patrick's on Sundays on alternate weeks. The girls' first concert was in York Minster in Summer 2010. The choir also sang for the Pope in the Mass in Birmingham at which John Henry Newman was beatified.
The girls are trained by Choral Director Keith Roberts and rehearse weekly in Huddersfield.
