The Huddersfield singing programme was launched in 2008, and follows the model of the Bradford and Keighley choirs, whereby children in primary and secondary schools rehearse during school time with a choral director.
The boys' choir was formed in 2008, and the girls' choir in 2010. Both are based at St. Patrick's Church in Huddersfield; the girls rehearse on a Monday after school and the boys on Tuesdays. The choirs sing a mixture of styles of music, and their liturgical role (both singing Mass monthly during term-time at St. Patrick's Church) is balanced by singing in concerts and competitions.
