The Bradford Boys' Choir currently numbers 28 singers covering all four voice parts. The boys rehearse twice weekly at St Bede's Grammar School and St Cuthbert and the First Martyrs' Primary School. Their principal duties are liturgical and as choir in residence, they sing Mass and Vespers monthly at St Joseph's Church. They have sung at some of the most important services in the diocese, such as the Chrism Mass at Leeds Cathedral in 2009 and at the blessing of the Annunciation Shrine in St Joseph's Church, at which Bishop Arthur Roche presided with the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Bradford in attendance. In May 2010 they joined forces with the choir of Bradford Cathedral to sing Choral Vespers and Benediction, the first Roman Catholic service to be held there since the Reformation and this ecumenical exchange will become a regular part of their calendar.
As a concert choir, the boys have appeared at many of the region's most prestigious concert venues, performing with the Leeds Philharmonic Chorus, Bradford Festival Choral Society and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. They have performed on national radio and television (including for BBC TV's ‘Songs of Praise' and ‘Sunday Half Hour' on Radio Two) and have recorded a CD with the Bradford Girls' Choir. In June 2009, they sang at the international choral festival 'Festivokal' in the Taunus region of Germany including performances on German radio and in June 2010 won the 'Male Voice Choirs' category of the Wharfedale Festival with distinction.
